Yesterday Ben and I drove back to our hometown in upstate NY.
Before we left Boston though, the week of rain finally stopped.

And with that, walking put a smile on my face instead of leaving me wet and cranky.

On Thursday night, I figured out that “banana soft serve” (aka frozen bananas blended into a frozen yogurt consistency) is made way better with a scoop of natural vanilla ice cream and Teddie. Try it!

Oh. Yum.

After a lot of traffic and 4 hours in the car, we made it to New York.

I love my parent’s house.

Probably because I grew up there, but also because it feels homey to me.

I especially love seeing my family and spending time with this girl.

We love to take Rosie on walks.

Even if she can’t go as far anymore and needs to take breaks…she still hangs in there

Rosie loves getting her belly rubbed.

This morning we tried the Don Pablo coffee that was a generous gift from Diana‘s blog! Luckily my parents have a coffee grinder, because I do not.

Delicious and rich coffee, it was. One of my favorite things about going home is waking up in the morning to go downstairs, have coffee and read the paper while talking to my parents.

Today I went for a gorgeous run, went out for haircuts and a little shopping with mom (got pink rain boots!) and we’re going out for dinner soon.
Home is sweeeet.
